This is the remix.
Today is technically day five. Except it’s also the first day of October and I felt like I wanted (and needed) to restart my journey. Plus it’s easier for me to remember what day it is when it corresponds to the day of the month. Just saying.
So today is day one. I feel good. Tired, but good. I ate a sensible lunch, mindful of how I was feeling and careful to stop when I got full. I didnt soothe my afternoon exhaustion with coffee or sweets, but I drank water and went for a walk while Big Girl was in dance class. Thank God for friends who not only support your goals, but are chasing their own!
Even though I had a cranky four year old in my hands and my work clothes were super sweaty, I made an intentional trip to the grocery store to buy vegetables for dinner. And as soon as I get these girls to bed, I’m calling it a night. Overall today was a great start to a new month and the final quarter of 2018.
